There is something remarkably modern about this ring despite being over a century old.
A richly colored cognac citrine sits low to the finger, framed by twenty-eight eight cut diamonds set in silver. Time has gently darkened the silver mounting, creating a dramatic contrast between the warm glow of the citrine and the crisp brilliance of the diamonds. The effect is striking: light against shadow, amber against ice.
Jewelry from this period often sought to maximize visual impact through clever use of materials rather than sheer size.
