An eighteen carat golden ring composed of eleven links woven of yellow and white gold wire, made by Georges L’Enfant, Paris, ca 1970.

The intricately woven links of a Georges L’Enfant are recognizable at once. The highly skilled gold master spun art from gold, creating textured patterns that remain a L’Enfant signature today. A workshop who worked with all the big maisons – Cartier, Van Cleef, Bulgari, Boucheron, Hermes just to mention a few but also made watch bracelets for Rolex, Patek, Vacheron Constantin etc etc. Previously mostly know to a industry insiders but not anymore. Georges Lenfant registered his initials as his maker’s mark in 1909. His workshop was near Paris’s Place Vendôme, already the heart of the world’s luxury jewelry houses. The workshop closed productions after Jacques Lenfant’s (Georges son) death in 1995.
