George L’Enfant was a leading French master jeweler whose atelier, at 47 rue des Petits‑Champs in Paris, crafted high-end gold jewelry for luxury houses, like Hermès  but also Cartier, Van Cleef, Bulgari, Boucheron, Fred, Mauboussin, just to mention a few. The intricately woven links of a Georges L’Enfant bracelet are recognizable at once. The highly skilled gold master spun art from gold, creating textured patterns or patterned links that reflected light beautifully and offered rich visual depth that remain a L’Enfant signature today. His work for Hermès is among the most sought-after vintage gold jewelry today
